The first thing you need to know in order to get to Isla Verde, Batangas City is to get to either Tabangao Port or to the pick-up and drop-off point in Ilijan.

Follow the transport directions below if you are taking a bus from anywhere in Metro Manila to Batangas City. First, take a look at the following list of Metro Manila stations for Batangas-bound buses:
- Alabang Metropolis
- Buendia – LRT

- Tabangao Port to Isla Verde: ETD 9:00 AM
- The directions we have here are for passengers bound to Sampalucan, San Agustin Kanluran, where Engracio’s Beach Huts Rental is located.
- There is ONLY ONE trip and one boat service provider for Sampalucan.
- Boarding Time: 1-2 hours before ETD (even earlier)
- No Seat Reservations; first come, first served.
- Travel Time from Tabangao: 1-1.5 hours
- Travel Time from Ilijan: 30-45 minutes
- Both private and public boats use Tabangao Port.
- Only private boats use the Ilijan as pick-up / drop-off point.
How to go to Isla Verde Batangas from Manila via Tabangao Port
Ideally, your bus should be in transit starting 4:00 AM. Traffic is usually heavy in the main thoroughfares of Batangas City.
Transport Directions to Tabangao Port via Public Transport
1. From Manila, take a bus going to Batangas City – any one with the signage “Batangas City Pier, Grand Terminal (GT).” Take note that boats to Isla Verde are NOT in Batangas City Pier.
2. Get off at the GT; then take any jeepney going to Bagong Palengke (there is a Lumang Palengke; please make sure you mention “Bagong” Palengke to the driver).
3. Get off at Bagong Palengke and transfer to another jeepney going to Tabangao. Tell the Tabangao driver you are getting off at “Biyaheng Isla Verde”.
4. Next, at the Tabangao Port, look for the boat M/B St. Paul. As of this writing, this boat is the only one servicing passengers bound to Sampalucan, San Agustin Kanluran.
5. You have to specifically tell the boatman to drop you off at Sampalucan. MB St. Paul stops at the following, in order:
– Mahabang Buhangin
– Sampalucan
– Pajo
6. There are times, for some reason, all passengers bound to Sampalucan are asked to drop off at Mahabang Buhangin. In this case you have to either walk or take a habal-habal ride to Sampalucan.

How to go to Isla Verde Batangas from Manila via Ilijan
If you hire a private boat service to Isla Verde, you have to either go to Tabangao Port or to Ilijan, depending on your service provider.
Ilijan is closer to Isla Verde.
Travel time from Manila to Ilijan takes longer than that of Manila to Tabangao. This means that Ilijan is closer to Isla Verde, hence boat trip is shorter.
Step-by-Step Directions on How to Go to Isla Verde Batangas from Manila
- Follow steps 1 and 2 from the previous directions.
- Get off at Bagong Palengke and transfer to another jeepney going to SM City Batangas. Then, look for the jeepney with the signage “Libjo”. Tell the driver you are getting off at SM, “Biyaheng Ilijan”.
- Next, go to SM’s parking lot where you will find all the jeepneys bound to Brgy. Ilijan. Tell the driver to drop you off at Vista de Puente Resort – the landmark for your private boat’s pick-up point.
- Your private boat service will drop you off directly at Sampalucan.
